WELCOME TO THE DANCE WORKS: We hope your summer was fun and relaxing and
you are ready for another great year of dance. After much anticipation, we are finally
situated at our new studio. Miss Gina would like to thank each of you for your patience
and understanding during last season’s “adventures in building” dance year. Please
join Miss Gina in welcoming back Miss Allyson, Miss Heather, Miss Julie, Miss Paula
and Miss Tanya.
A reminder…tuition is due the first lesson of each month. A $5.00 late fee (strictly
enforced) will be applied after the 14th of the month on all tardy payments. Please put
the student’s name on the check to alleviate posting your payment to an incorrect
account. Printed bills are distributed only on tardy payments.
Please note: If anyone is ill or needs to miss a class, please call the studio before your
class time. The telephone number is 978-683-9390.
Reminder to Parents: Please remember to cut drawstrings off ballet slippers and sew
elastic in black tap shoes.
MAKE-UP CLASSES: Any child missing class due to illness, inclement weather or
holiday/vacation may attend a make-up class. Consult your instructor. No refunds or
credits on missed classes.
STUDIO POLICIES: Food and beverages are to be consumed in the large waiting room
only!! Only water is allowed in the dance studios. All children not in class must be
attended by a parent at all times, whether in the waiting room or in the hallways. No one
is allowed in studios not being used.
STORE NEWS: Visit our store for your dance needs. We carry a line of Dance Works’
T-shirts, sweat-shirts, jackets, backpacks and tote bags. We also carry dance shoes,
tights and shorts. Store costumes are now $5 and $10. You might want to check them
out for Halloween.
We will be taking orders for sweat-shirts and warm-up suits for the Santa Parade until
October 16th.
ADULT CLASSES: We now have beginner, intermediate and advanced tap classes, as
well as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, Irish and ballroom classes for adults. Come join the fun
and exercise. For more information or to sign up, see Judy.
COSTUME DEPOSIT: A non-refundable costume deposit of $45.00 per subject is due by
Nov. 1st. A $5.00 late fee will be applied after Nov. 14th. Costumes will not be ordered
without a deposit. All remaining balances are due by Feb. 15th, with a late fee of $5.00
applied on March 1st.
COLUMBUS DAY: There will be NO CLASSES on Monday, October 11th.
THANKSGIVING BREAK: There will be NO CLASSES on Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat, Nov. 24th
through 27th.
CANCELLATIONS: Please call the studio one hour before your scheduled class time or
visit our website for cancellations due to inclement weather. We are sometimes open
when Haverhill and N. Andover schools are closed. All missed classes can be made-up.
OBSERVATION WEEK: Parents may observe class through one-way windows
throughout the month of September and thereafter, the first week of each month. We do
this so parents can see their child’s progression from month to month.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES: The studio offers birthday parties for children of all ages. For more
information, see Judy.
BRING A FRIEND WEEK: From Oct. 18th – 23rd, we would like you to invite one friend to
class. Your friend need not have any dance background. He/she should wear loose,
comfortable clothing and bare feet, if they do not have dancing attire. Please only one
friend per class.
NOTEWORTHY NEWS: Congrats to all our competitive students who participated at the
New England Dance Festival Competition back in June. The Dance Works received
many gold and silver medals and numerous special awards.
