LOCATION
Welcome to The Dance Works! Our studio is
conveniently located on Route 125 in North Andover, at
Osgood Landing, below Laser Craze.

Our teachers are fully certified professional instructors
who take pride in sharing their love of dance by
combining superior training with a positive attitude. All
instructors have studied extensively with some of the
finest teachers, both nationally and abroad. We also
attend special classes, conventions, and seminars
throughout the year.
We at The Dance Works strive to develop well-trained
dancers through a happy, progressive atmosphere. All
classes are taught by licensed, professional instructors,
with many years of experience teaching both children and
adults.

OUR FACILITY
Our new, air-conditioned facility features four large operating dance studios, each equipped with
either Harlequin or Stagestep flooring, a large waiting area and an on-site store. Food and
beverages are allowed only in our waiting area. Only water is allowed in dance studios. We
strictly enforce this policy. Additional information is available under the "About" tab in the menu
bar above.
ON-SITE STORE
For your convenience, we sell ballet, tap and jazz shoes, as well as tights, shorts, dance bags
and various other dance supplies.
OBSERVATION
Parents may observe class through one-way windows on the first lesson of each month with the
exception of September.
REGISTRATION FEE
A one-time registration fee of $10 (per child or family) is required for all new students. Siblings of
currently enrolled students are exempt.
RECITAL & COSTUMES
Our annual recital is held anytime from mid-May to the beginning of June. Students need one
costume per routine at approximately $45-$55 each. A non-refundable deposit of $45 per routine
is due by November 1st. A $5.00 late fee will be applied after the 14th. Costumes will not be
ordered without deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS. You are responsible for all remaining costume
balances due by February 15th. A $5.00 late fee will be applied on March 1st for all unpaid
balances. Two-year-olds and tumbling class do not participate in the recital. If you wish not to participate in the recital
please inform us ASAP for costume purposes.
CANCELLATIONS
Call the studio one hour before scheduled class time or visit our website for cancellations due to
inclement weather. We are sometimes open when schools are closed. Make-up classes will be
available. No refunds or credits.
MISSED CLASSES
Please call the studio if you cannot attend class due to illness, etc. You may attend a make-up
class. No refunds or credits.
PAYMENTS
Lessons are payable by the month and are due the first lesson of each month. Printed bills are
distributed only on tardy payments. Discounts are given on 2 or more children from the same
family. A $5 late fee (strictly enforced) will be applied after the 14th of the month on all tardy
payments. To avoid this late fee, payments may be mailed to the studio. Please include your
child’s name on check. A $20 service fee will be charged for any returned checks. Please visit
our Rates page for detailed rate information.
VACATIONS & HOLIDAYS
We will be closed on the following dates in 2011/2012:
Columbus Day - Monday, October 10th
Halloween - Monday, October 31st
Thanksgiving - Wednesday, November 23rd - Saturday, November 26th
Holiday Season - Wednesday, December 21st - Tuesday, January 3rd
February Vacation - Monday, February 20th - Saturday, February 25th
April Vacation - Monday, April 16th - Saturday, April 21st
Memorial Day - Friday, May 25th - Monday, May 28th
MINI SESSION
We offer limited classes to new students from February through the end of the school year. No
recital participation for this session.
NEWSLETTERS
Each month The Dance Works posts its newsletter on our website. The newsletter contains
important information and noteworthy news for the upcoming month(s). A printed copy can be
obtained at the office.
BRING A FRIEND WEEK
Twice yearly one friend may be invited to join your class. No dance background needed. Dates
will be noted in the newsletter.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
The studio offers birthday parties for children of all ages. The cost is $100. Inquire for more
details.
