Child class schedules are preset and will be given upon registration.
Our new, air-conditioned facility features four large operating dance studios, each equipped with either Harlequin or Stagestep flooring, a large waiting area, and an on-site store. Food and beverages are allowed only in our waiting area. Only water is allowed in dance studios. We strictly enforce this policy. For your convenience, we sell ballet, tap and jazz shoes, as well as tights, shorts, dance bags and various other dance supplies.
LOST & FOUND
Articles left behind at the studio will be placed into a Lost & Found box in Miss Judy's office. It is a good rule of thumb to check that you have all personal items with you before leaving the studio, and not to leave valuable items unattended. Please note: The Dance Works is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Our rates are competitive and multiple classes receive a group package discount. Please contact the studio for current specific rate information.
An initial registration fee of $25 per child is required for all new students. Failure to sustain active enrollment will result in a new $25 registration fee.
Lessons are payable by the month and are due the 1st through 7th of each month. Printed bills are distributed only on tardy payments. Discounts are given on two or more children from the same family. A $10 late fee (strictly enforced) will be applied after the 7th of the month on all tardy payments. To avoid this late fee, payments may be mailed to the studio. Please make checks out to "The Dance Works" and include your child’s name on check. A $25 service fee will be charged for any returned checks.
We also offer autopay from your checking or savings account, processed on the 1st of each month. Ask for an ACH form at the office, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each month The Dance Works posts its newsletter on our website. The newsletter contains important information and noteworthy news for the upcoming month(s). A printed copy can be obtained at the office.
Parents may observe class through one-way windows on the first lesson of each month with the exception of September.
Call the studio one hour before scheduled class time or visit our website for cancellations due to inclement weather - please don't rely on Facebook or Instagram as these may not be updated. We are sometimes open when schools are closed. Make-up classes will be made available for any classes canceled by the studio. No refunds or credits.
Please call the studio if you cannot attend class due to illness, etc. You may attend a make-up class. No refunds or credits.
BRING A FRIEND WEEK
Twice yearly one friend may be invited to join your class. No dance background needed. Dates will be noted in the newsletter.
We offer limited classes to new students from February through the end of the school year. No recital participation for this session. Please contact us or inquire at the desk for more info.
The studio offers birthday parties for children of all ages. The cost is $120. Ask Miss Judy at the front desk, or fill out our online Birthday Party Request Form.
Any class is subject to cancellation due to lack of enrollment.
RECITAL & COSTUMES
Our annual recital is held anytime from mid-May to the end of June. Participation is voluntary. Students participating need one costume per routine at approximately $45-$55 each. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per routine is due by November 1st. A $10.00 late fee will be applied after the 7th. Costumes will not be ordered without deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS. You are responsible for all remaining costume balances due by February 1st. A $10.00 late fee will be applied after February 7th for all unpaid balances. Two-year-olds and tumbling classes do not participate in the recital. If you wish not to participate in the recital please inform us ASAP for costume purposes.
