APRIL VACATION: There will be NO REGULAR CLASSES from Mon., April 18th Sat., April 23rd.
IMPORTANT DATES:
"Special" Evening of Dance: April 10th @ 3:00 p.m., Timberlane Performing Arts Center, Plaistow, NH. All are welcome. Admission is free.
RECITAL THEME: STARS OF TOMORROW
COSTUME WEEK: The entire family costume bill, any back tuition, including April, and/or any late fees, class fees and comp fees must be paid in full before any child in that family can take their costume home. All costumes will be given out in your childs classes from Monday, April 11th thru Saturday, April 16th. Please plan on staying at your childs lesson that week. They will be trying on costumes, and important information will be given out at that time.
Costume schedule for competitive classes:
Reminder to all Competitive Students: Your class will be performing at Eastern Dance Awards on May 14th and 15th, at Amesbury High School, 5 Highland St., Amesbury, MA. and New England Dance Festival, Timberlane Performing Arts Center, Plaistow, NH on June 17th 19th. Comp fees for the June competition were due April 1st. A $10 late fee will be applied if not paid by April 14.
Mandatory Dress Rehearsal for Eastern Dance Awards: A mandatory dress rehearsal for all comp classes will be during your regular class times.
CHAPERONES: We still need chaperones for most classes at recital. Chaperones will stay with the classes in the dressing rooms during the show. You will be responsible for getting the class back stage for their routines, and back on stage for finale. You will also remain with the class until each child has been claimed by his/her parent or guardian after recital is over. Chaperones will receive 2 complimentary tickets.
TICKETS: Tickets for all recital shows will go on sale Sunday, May 1st from 12:00 noon 3:00 p.m. After that day, they can be purchased during all regular class hours. All tickets are $15.00 each, if purchased in advance, and $16.00 each, if purchased at the door the day of recital. No tickets can be purchased if you owe any tuition, including April, or any late fees, class fees and/or comp fees.
ALL TICKET SALES WILL BE CASH ONLY!! All tickets are reserved seating and are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Everyone entering the Auditorium, including babies, needs to have a ticket. Please inform all who will be attending the recital about this so there is no confusion on recital days. This is a fire regulation. There is a limit of 15 tickets on Sunday, May 1st only. This is done to prevent people from purchasing the entire front section before other people have a chance. Last year one show was sold out, so purchase early. Note: Mothers who will be getting up to change their child will need to purchase an aisle seat. In order to keep the show moving smoothly, the traffic in and out of the auditorium must be kept to a minimum. To help us with this, whenever possible, please change your childs costume during intermission. Please note: Children performing in the show are not allowed into the Auditorium. Please do not purchase a ticket for them to that show. However, they can watch any show they are not performing in and will need a ticket to that performance.
PICTURES: Pictures will be taken again this year at the Studio on May 31st, June 1st and 2nd. We will be using a new photographer this year New England Sports Photo - established in 1976. They come highly recommended and all work is 100% guaranteed. You are not obligated to purchase pictures. However, we would like all the children to be present in his/her class picture, if possible. Your child/children will have pictures taken in all their costumes. If they take both ballet and tap, then we will have group pictures taken in both the ballet and tap costumes, etc. You can then purchase individual pictures of your child in either costume or all costumes. If for any reason you cannot make the scheduled time, individual pictures can be taken at any time. Schedule available shortly.
Flowers: Fresh flowers, again this year, will be sold at recital. Sales will be CASH ONLY.
Recital Shirts: We will be selling recital shirts once again this year with The Dance Works logo and recital theme.
Birthday Parties: Have your next birthday party with us. For more information, see Judy.
Summer Programs: Schedules for summer will be available shortly.

- Saturday, June 4th Dress rehearsal from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for all competitive dance classes including Comp Pointe, Comp Lyric, Comp Modern and Production, all Pre-Comp and Adult classes. Schedule available shortly.
- Showcase: Saturday, June 4th, 3:30 p.m. all solos, duos, trios and small groups will perform. All are welcome. Admission is free.
- Show 1 Saturday, June 4th, 6:30 p.m.
- Show 2 Sunday, June 5th, 1:00 p.m.
- Show 3 Sunday, June 5th, 5:30 p.m.
